Cllr Paul Smith is a Parish Councillor of Breedon on the Hill Parish Council

Born in Leicestershire, and now resident in Wilson since 2012, I am a 45year veteran of the chemical industry having worked in the UK, Germany and travelled extensively to deliver my professional responsibilities. These days, I work mainly as a consultant and non-executive director at a number of companies active chemicals and materials and including a Guardian Trustee role on a charitable foundation. Consulting work is focused on sector mergers and acquisitions.

My wife, Jane, and I share 5 children, spread around the world and offering some great holiday options. In the little spare time we do have outside of family commitments, it is spent at our holiday home on the Norfolk coast, or in my case – and a situation I share with our Chair Ray Morris – on the golf course complaining about being an enthusiastic but poor golfer with a deteriorating swing.
